Victorian Times

14th march 1841
Dear diary, this was my day at school. First we entered the class and the teacher said goodmorning and everyone bowed and cutsy except me so he kicked me. Then we started with poetry recitation I misspronounced a word and he kicked me until I lost sense in that part of my body. Next I had to go out of the class because im not cristian so they prayed and I didnt. Then we began with humbleness discusion, it was completely boring but I had to do it. Then we started with aritmetic class I dont like that class im not so good at it so he kicked me again for answering bad. Then it was the recess I was very happy for that no teacher to kick me for a couple of minutes. Then it was spelling class I was the best at it so the teacher didnt kick me. Then it was writing I was good too but he kicked me for talking in class and putted me a log on my neck saying "I talked in class". We learned to write in copperplate style it was difficult but I could do it. And next came the alphabet reciting I said every letter so he didn't kicked me because I didn't make mistakes or talked. And now comes the script reading If we lose our place our teachers would tell us that we'll be punished. And now they prayed again and we went to eat our lunch, This morning was very hard for me it have never been this difficult, Now we had to go back to class. And now drill time wow how excited I was (ironic) And now we had to learn about the potato, I don't know why we have to study the potato is such a stupid thing, now they will ask us one by one what we've learnt about the potato, then we have to write about  the potato as a food. And now my favorite time of the day 2:50 PM, PLAY TIME it was the best thing of the day, now we have to go back to class and in my case (boy) I had to learn drawing and the girls learnt needlework, more than one shouted of pain because they put the needle inside their finger, we had to say bye to the teacher and go home, the teacher left me ten minutes more for all the "bad" things I did and then I could go.

An example of copplepate writing style
